Baseball! Let’s do this! We are so excited to get some baseball in this spring.
You will be seeing correspondence from the League in the coming weeks with important dates and information, so please crack open those emails and visit our Facebook and webpages frequently.
This correspondence is specifically about preseason Baseball and Softball Player Assessments.
Why?
The purpose of assessments is to evaluate our players’ basic baseball skills so we can properly place them in the correct Division AND have our Drafts produce “even teams”. Assessments are not try-outs.
Who Needs to Assess?
All softball and baseball players signed up to play in Minors, Majors and Intermediate Divisions must attend assessments.
This includes all players league age 9-13.
Any players League Age 7-8 that have interest in being assessed for participation in the Minor Division (Kids Pitch).
Please note that most League Age 7 and 8 players will be placed in the Rookies Division (Coach/machine pitch).

Who Does NOT Needs to Assess?
Tee Ball Registrants
Those 7-8 year olds who want to play in the Rookies Division
Players league age 14 or older
How?
Coaches and Division Directors will assess player’s hitting, fielding and throwing skills.
When?
Baseball: Player's date and session is based on age and first letter of his/her last name.
Softball: Player's date is based on player last name.
We do this to even out the groups so we can get a good look at all players.
If you are unable to attend on your player’s designated day, please come on the alternate Saturday at a time corresponding to their session time.
Refer to the table below.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your assessment period for check in.
