Little League Divisions
Divisions Break Down

"Little League Age" is determined by the age of a player as of a specific date and is set by Little League International.  The first step a parent needs to take to register for the season is to determine your child's Little League Age here: Age Calculator.

The Spring season usually starts just after the Boise School District's Spring Break and runs through the last day of the school year.

Prior to the start of the season, there will be mandatory assessments in February for players League Age 9 and above.  Assessments are important to place kids in the appropriate division, get a good mix of player experience and ability on each team, and to help ensure safety for all involved. Everyone who registers to play in Minors, Majors, Intermediates, or Seniors should plan to attend assessments.  Everyone will be placed on a team; the assessments are simply necessary to get the team make-up organized for the season.

The Fall season usually begins when the Boise School District starts school in August, or soon thereafter.

Tee Ball League Age 5 - 6 (Boys & Girls):
In tee ball boys and girls play together on the same teams. Players are introduced to the structured game, develop basic skills and learn how to be part of a team. Up to 10 games per season, with 1 - 2 practices per week and up to 2 games per week.  Primary field location is the Expo Idaho fairgrounds.

Rookies League Age 7 - 8:
In the Rookies division (ages 7-8), coaches pitch, outs are recorded and scores are kept. Rules are modified to promote lots of action (hitting and fielding). Practice locations and home games will be at Hillside Park and the Expo Idaho Fairgrounds.

Seniors League Age 13 - 16:
